Completing your BAföG application online

Once you have entered all the details, you can either print your BAföG application and hand it in or send it by post to the BAföG office or send the application to the BAföG office as a file by De-mail. You will need your own De-mail account to do this.
Printing your BAföG application
If you wish to submit your application in the traditional manner, e.g. personally or by post, please print the application after filling in all the details.
Sending your BAföG application by De-mail
Alternatively, you can send us your BAföG application electronically by De-mail without any signature. To do this, you must have your own De-mail account. Send the De-mail with a confirmation of the sender (register with the “high” level of authentication and/or “confidential/personal”).
What is De-mail?
De-mail enables electronic messages to be encrypted, protected and sent so that it can be traced, if necessary. It is as simple to use as any e-mail. In contrast to the latter, De-mails enable both the identity of the communication partners and also the sending and arrival of De-mails to be verified without any doubts at any time.
The content of a De-mail cannot be read or changed while in transit via the Internet. Secure registration procedures and connections to the De-mail providers and encrypted pathways between the De-mail providers ensure that De-mails can be sent and received confidentially.
